City Travel Agents and City Travel Agencies

Travel agents and travel agencies have traditionally played a major part in the organisation of travel for families, couples and individuals for more than a hundred years. Whether it be for booking flights, cruises, hotels, tours, or vacation packages, travel agents have been a major part of our lives. Today however with the advent of the Internet many people do their own fossicking around to find the best options, and the best deals. Many however still stick to their local travel agent or agency. One of the reasons for this is they are not automated, as online Web sites are. You can actually speak to them, have them do the work for you. You can also pay by phone by credit card or post them a check. They also provide after sales service. If something goes wrong with a flight, or there is a hick-up while you're travelling, they can sort it out for you. This site provides access to travel agents in the major cities of the world. We hope you can use the site productively (and profitably).

What is a travel agents role in your holiday?

Travel agents are available in almost any city in the world, you can talk to them over the phone and book flights, cruises, hotel accommodation, if you’re looking for cheap holiday ideas, cheap cruises or cheap flights they’re the ones that get it done for you. But few of us actually know how the whole industry works, how is the travel agent able to get access to all that information at the click of a mouse and book it for you? Why can’t you do it yourself?

The answer is fairly straight-forward. Like any product, travel must be packaged and marketed, and tailored to suit the needs of the customer. A travel agent is like a clothes tailor then, except he or she fits the product to your needs rather than your body. To do this, one must have immense knowledge of the travel industry, and must know how to work the computer system ( mostly the SABRE network) that links the travel agency to airlines, cruise companies, car hire services etc. In short, this is knowledge the international or domestic tourist does not have, hence the travel agent does it for you.
